Police are thanking the public for their help after a woman missing since October was located safe and sound.

The Dawson Creek RCMP were asking for the public’s help in finding a 40-year-old woman who had gone missing.

Police were looking for Shawna Elizabeth Capot. Her family were saying they had not heard or seen from her since October.

Mounties were saying her family had expressed concerns for Capot’s wellbeing.

In January of last year, CJDC-TV News reported that Capot was the girlfriend of notorious criminal Tanner Murray.

At the time, her residence on 103rd Ave was shot during a drive-by shooting.

Police were saying all phone numbers associated to Capot are no longer in service, and her last known address on 103rd Ave is currently vacant.

The last Facebook post from a profile believed to be Capot’s was on December 29.
