Fort Nelson store closing after almost 5 decades

Family owned and operated business of almost 5 decades say it's time to close.

The Carter family has announced with full hearts that after more than 46 years in business, Style Rite (Style Rite Holdings) in Fort Nelson will close on March 31, 2026.

This bittersweet decision comes as they look toward retirement and face the changing realities of running a small business.

Ken Johnson of Summit radio says "Always sad to hear these things. I remember visiting Stylerite on a regular basis just to see what's new and to have a chat with staff. Doing live on-location radio remotes at Stylerite for events like Moonlight Madness was always a blast."

Style Rite has served generations of families and watched customers grow over the years.

Until closing day, the doors will stay open, with staff committed to providing great service and offering special sales as a thank-you for decades of support.

The family expresses deep gratitude to their loyal customers, dedicated staff past and present, and the Fort Nelson community for making Style Rite possible.

They look forward to seeing familiar faces in the months ahead.
