On December 30, 2025, just after 6:00 p.m., Fort St. John RCMP got a call about an unknown man with a handgun trying to get into a home near Peace River Road and 111th Avenue in Fort St. John, BC.

Officers arrived quickly, set up a perimeter, and called out to the suspect, who surrendered without incident.

One person at the scene was physically assaulted, and a loaded gun—though not fired—was seized.

Two other people were also arrested in connection to the situation.

The main suspect is still in custody and is expected to face multiple charges related to firearms and assault, while the two others remain held as the investigation continues.

Police say it was a targeted incident involving people known to them. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fort St. John RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
