The First Nation shared a sworn statement from Chief Archie Harrold on social media, responding to concerns and accusations against him.

Claims were made about his personal or financial ties to several local businesses.

Harrold stated he has no ownership, partnership, or financial interest in Geoterra Integrated Resources, Archie’s Auto-Wrecking & Towing, or A1 Resources, and does not benefit from any work they do for the Nation or Deh Tai entities.

He explained he once owned Archie’s Auto-Wrecking & Towing, but sold it in 2019, with the new owner keeping the name.

Harrold emphasized he has no influence over these companies’ work and takes his role as Chief-Councillor seriously, wanting the community to have accurate information and trust in his office. He was elected to the position in 2024.
