Police in northern B.C. are asking the public for help identifying a break-in suspect.

In a statement Friday, Fort St. John RCMP shared two photos of a man suspected of breaking into an apartment near Northern Lights College on Sept. 22 shortly after 2 p.m.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his early 30s who stands 5′9″ to 5′11″ tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing “tan-coloured baggy pants, a dark-coloured hoodie and a light-coloured baseball cap with a white logo,” police said, adding that the man is “believed to have ties” to the Prince George area.

They did not elaborate on why they believe this to be the case.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should call Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100, police said.

Tips can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
