On June 10, 2026, Fort St. John RCMP carried out three search warrants in Fort St. John.
It was part of an ongoing investigation into targeted violence linked to organized crime.
The investigation, led by the Serious Crime Unit since August 2025, resulted in two arrests and the seizure of evidence. They were supported by the Street Enforcement Team, North District RCMP, and frontline officers. Police recovered four firearms and, at one location, more than 1.3 kilograms of illicit drugs.
Sgt. Ian Rissanen, commander of the Plainclothes Unit, stated, “Those involved in the trade of illicit drugs, illegal firearms, and other organized crime activities have no place in our community. Our specialized enforcement teams will continue to target these groups to ensure public safety.”
The two arrested individuals were released with conditions and a future court date, as the Crown reviews the case and police continue their investigation.
