Crews will be working on the hill over several days reducing traffic to single lane...

Drivers travelling along South Taylor Hill are expressing frustration about having to wait up to two hours in traffic as maintenance and cleaning work gets underway.

Motorists taking to social media saying the delays are causing them to miss doctors appointments and flights out of the North Peace Regional Airport.

Argo Road Maintenance had said that work will require single lane alternating traffic during the scheduled work periods. However, motorists stuck in long delays were questioning why that wasn’t happening as originally promised

Argo says the project could wrap up earlier than planned if conditions allow, with a goal of finishing by Wednesday.

Drivers are being warned to expect a significant presence of equipment, including sweepers, a vacuum truck, loaders and pickup trucks, as crews work to complete the job safely and efficiently.

Motorists are advised to slow down, follow traffic control personnel and use caution when travelling through the work zone.

For the latest updates on road conditions, drivers are encouraged to visit DriveBC. However one person posted to social media saying the delays weren’t shown on the DriveBC site.
