Two wildfires north of Fort St. John are currently under control, according to the BC Wildfire Service.

Both are located northwest of Rose Prairie. One, near Whispering Pine Lake, was discovered Wednesday and has grown to 13.2 hectares.

The other, just north of 262 Road, is about one hectare in size.

Officials suspect both were human-caused.

Given current ground and weather conditions, they’re expected to stay within their existing boundaries.
