From Dawson Creek to Dease Lake, temperatures reached record levels.
Unusually warm temperatures felt around the province Tuesday have been confirmed in the record books.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, 13 areas across B.C. reported record-high temperatures for Jan. 14.
In Vancouver, a high of 13.8 degrees broke a 12-year record of 12.1 degrees. Richmond, too, had not seen such a hot Jan. 14 since 2014.
The oldest records broken on Tuesday were reported in Terrace and Dawson Creek, which both blew past the 6.7-degree heat felt in 1933, to 9.6 and 7.9 degrees, respectively.
