The spread of measles in Northeast BC is slowing, according to the BC Centre for Disease Control (BC CDC).
No new cases have been reported across the province since last Thursday, keeping the total number of cases in BC this year at 295.
Vaccination rates in the Northeast remain lower than the rest of the province. With 209 cases reported so far, the Northeast accounts for 71 percent of all cases in BC.
Children aged 5 to 17 represent 49 percent of all measles cases in BC in 2025.
