Northern Rockies RCMP were called to the scene of a fire in a vehicle impound lot in Fort Nelson.

The incident happened in the morning of September 27, inside a secured lot operated by On-It Towing, located on 44th Avenue.

According to police, several vehicles were engulfed in flames when the fire department arrived at the scene.

They said On-It Towing has been the victim of many suspicious fires in the past 16 months, adding evidence at the scene points to each fire being intentionally started.

In June 2024, a man was arrested in connection with an arson case at the same location.

Security footage posted on social media showed two men breaking into the compound and lighting a heavy wrecker tow truck and car on fire.

It’s believed that new fire is part of an ongoing tow truck war dating back to 2024.

Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact the Northern Rockies RCMP at (250) 774-2700.
