The BC Centre fort Disease Control has confirmed two new cases of measles across the province.

Health officials said the new cases were reported in the Northern Health region, increasing its total to 195.

According to the centre, Northern Health is the only health authority to report new cases in the past two updates.

The latest numbers show that 73 percent of cases across the province are form northeast BC.

The BC CDC noted that the province has yet to record a death associated with measles in 2025.

Health officials continue to say that vaccination is the most efficient way to protect against the virus.
