2026 General Local Election - Notice of Election by Voting
An election by voting is being held to elect six Councillors and five School Trustees. Below is everything residents need to know to vote.

- General Voting Day: Saturday, October 17, 2026 — 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Location: Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre — Fitness Room (upstairs), 5500 Alaska Hwy - Advance Voting: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 — 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Location: Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre — Community Hall, 5500 Alaska Hwy - Special Voting Opportunity (Hospital patients & staff): Saturday, October 17, 2026 — 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Location: Fort Nelson General Hospital, 5315 Liard Street

Elector Registration
- No pre-registration required — register at the voting place on the day you vote.
- Resident and non-resident property elector rules and ID requirements are available at the voting place. Resident electors must produce 2 pieces of ID (one with a signature) proving residency and identity.
