Maintenance work is scheduled on the Taylor Bridge...
TAYLOR, B.C. - Drivers travelling between Fort St. John and Dawson Creek should plan for delays next week as maintenance work is scheduled on the bridge.
According to Dawson Road Maintenance, crews will be performing maintenance on the bridge on Thursday, September 3, from 7 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.
During that time, traffic will be reduced to single-lane alternating travel controlled by a pilot car. Motorists are being advised to expect delays.
Overweight and oversized loads wider than 3.85 metres (12.6 feet) will not be permitted to cross the bridge during the maintenance window and will have to wait until work is completed after 3:30 a.m.
Carriers are encouraged to schedule movements outside the maintenance period to avoid extended delays.
Anyone with questions about the work is being asked to contact Dawson Road Maintenance.
The company says stakeholders will be notified if there are any changes to the schedule and travellers should consult DriveBC for the latest road conditions and traffic updates.
