The Rural Coordination Centre of B.C. announced the 2026 Award of Excellence in Rural Medicine: Lifetime Achievement award winners including Dr. Marius Mostert.
Over the past three decades, Dr. Mostert has played a vital role in sustaining healthcare in Fort Nelson and the Northern Rockies.
Through his leadership, advocacy, and broad scope of rural practice, he has strengthened access to care and helped build a more resilient healthcare system for northern communities.
Every year, RCCbc presents the BC Rural Health Awards to acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional contributions of rural physicians, communities, and residents across British Columbia.
These awards honour those who demonstrate outstanding dedication to improving health outcomes and advancing health care delivery in rural communities.
