- The Disappearance: Karen Tessier vanished without a trace from the Fort Nelson area on July 9, 2024.
- Vehicle Discovered: Five days after she went missing, her black Dodge Caravan was discovered burned in a remote, rural gravel pit outside Fort Nelson.
- Withheld Information: The BC RCMP North District Major Crimes Unit firmly believes that members of the local community possess vital information regarding her whereabouts but have been too fearful to step forward.
- Investigation Status: Police continue to treat the open investigation as highly suspicious.
