Crews with the BC Wildfire Service have a handle on two wildfires burning in the Peace Region.
A 24 hectare wildfire burning northeast of Moberly Lake, is now listed as ‘being held,’ according to the Wildfire Service.
The fire was discovered on Thursday, just over 2 kilometers from the Salteau First Nation Band Office. The fire is thought to be human caused.
Another wildfire is burning on 249 Road, just east of Fort St. John.
The fire was discovered on Saturday, south of Baldonnel Road and has grown to four hectares in size.
According the Wildfire Service, the fire is now ‘under control." It is also thought to be human caused.
There are currently 28 fires burning across the province of BC.
