Three people have been arrested in northeastern B-C for allegedly snowmobiling into a caribou protective closure in the wilderness.

The Conservation Officer Service says the arrests happened on March 14th near Tumbler Ridge, when patrolling officers found fresh snowmobile tracks inside the Holtzworth Meadows closure.

The following investigation led to three individuals being arrested and charged with snowmobiling in the closure.

The service is asking the public to review closures maps before going snowmobiling, as these areas are protected to support wildlife population recovery.
