RCMP in Fort St. John shared a positive update with city council in their November 2025 policing report.

The Uniformed Gang Enforcement Team was deployed in the community for 10 days in November.

The operation was supported by the Fort St. John Street Enforcement Team.

Mounties reported that gun and drug activity was significantly reduced in and around the city due to the presence of the unit.

RCMP say the enforcement resulted in 18 arrests, the seizure of four firearms, and 19 possessions of drug investigations.

It says the enforcement “resulted in a significant suppression and displacement in the gun and drug related violence.”

The Uniformed Gang Enforcement Team was deployed after a string of shootings in Fort St. John in October.

According to RCMP, the shootings were connected to the gang-related drug turf war impacting the Peace Region.
