The Fort St John RCMP are asking the public for help in finding an 85-year- old man. Antonio (Tony) Dos Santos Martins of Fort St John, BC hasn’t been seen since December 18th.

Martins left his residence and drove away in a White Grand Cherokee. Police say he has early onset dementia, does not have his cellphone or wallet with him and is believed to be confused.

Martins is described as:

  • Caucasian male,
  • 5’8” tall (172 cm),
  • 200 pounds (91 kg),
  • Grey hair,
  • hazel eyes.

Tony Martins’ vehicle is described as:

  • White 2020 4 door Jeep Grand Cherokee,
  • Bearing BC license plate 582JKA,
  • Front license plate in a plate frame that says “Retiree”.

Martins used to work for CN and used to live in Dawson Creek for many years. It is unclear where Martins may have gone and his disappearance is a concern, given his health status and freezing weather conditions.

The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information regarding Tony Martins’ location, to please contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
