The Canadian Energy Regulator has approved a proposed pipeline project running from Taylor to Gordondale, Alberta.
The Pouce Coupe Pipeline will span 89 kilometers, starting at the Taylor Tank Farm facility.
In its Recommendation Report, the Canada Energy Regulator Commission emphasized the project's alignment with the public interest highlighting transparency, fairness, and meaningful engagement with Indigenous Peoples and stakeholders.
The pipeline, estimated to cost $341 million, will transport natural gas and crude oil from BC's Montney region.
The commission recommends issuing a certificate for the project under 40 conditions covering construction, safety, Indigenous involvement, and environmental monitoring.
