Early Saturday morning, police responded to a suspicious fire at the New Frontier Bar and Nightclub on 100th Avenue.
The Fort St. John Fire Department had already extinguished the blaze, as stated in an RCMP press release.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in what appears to be an isolated incident. Upon investigating, police discovered evidence of arson and gunfire targeting the building.
Later that morning, two suspects were arrested at a home in Taylor, B.C., approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Fort St. John. The suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues. Remarkably, the pub reopened for lunch the same day.
